SELFLESS SERVICE
What Is Seva?
Seva means ‘selfless service’, an ancient yogic practice of contributing without expecting something in return. It is the yoga of selfless action, called Karma Yoga. You share yourself through contributing, this service is a form of devotion and love for life.
In Trimurti, seva is not volunteer work in the conventional sense. It is a conscious practice. It is about bringing awareness, presence, and love into everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, gardening, and constructing.
Through seva, the boundary between meditation and daily life dissolves. All aspects of Trimurti are carried out with the spirit of seva, enriching the centre with a quality of devotion, felt in both the work and in the people that offer it.
When you participate in seva you attune yourself to be of service instead of being occupied with yourself. You discover the quality that grows when you stop serving your own desires and start serving something beyond your personal self.

THE SACHA MISSION
Seva: the Heart of Trimurti
Trimurti is a Mystery School inspired by the living master Naropa and carried by the community. Every meal served, every event, every room prepared is an act of seva.
The residents work alongside seva supporters to keep the centre running. This model creates a place that is held not by salaries or profit, but by collective care. It’s not about the result of the work; it’s a sadhana (practice) for Awakening. It’s a way to solve the personal self, into the selfless reality of life and experience the joy and love that comes from that.
The Sacha Mission
Naropa is initiated in the spirit of the Sacha lineage. His master ShantiMayi asked him to offer himself to the path of Awakening. The masters of Sacha have one mission: to be of service to humanity by awakening the soul. This is the ultimate mission of Naropa and of Trimurti. Everyone who is willing to explore this, is invited.
When you offer seva, you are not just in service to our centre. You are in service of your own awakening, contributing to the whole of humanity. Throughout the world, one recognizable symbol that Sacha centres have is the Hanuman Flag. The Hanuman flag in our garden represents the quality of one who acts from total surrender, devotion, strength, and humility. It’s a reminder of the spirit of service that Trimurti is commited to.
