THE FOUNDATION
About Naropa
Naropa is our friend and the spiritual heart of Trimurti. At thirteen the world spontaneously revealed itself in its full aliveness and intensity. This experience was an initiation and never forgotten. It became an undercurrent of wisdom, sprouting and blossoming fully later in life.
His path led him in 1985 to Osho in Pune (India), where years of meditation dissolved layer after layer of conditioned identity. After Osho’s passing, without seeking, ShantiMayi of the Sacha Lineage appeared in 1994. He recognized that his path was not yet complete. What followed were years of profound inner work, not according to any method, but through unconditional love and trust. In January 2002, during a vipassana retreat in India, the last remnant of a separate self dissolved completely. There was no return from that.
Since 2008, Naropa has been offering satsang and retreats on request of ShantiMayi. He carries no doctrine and belongs to no movement. What he offers is not a teaching, it is a direct transmission. A confrontation with what you actually are, beneath everything you think you are. Sometimes it is joyful. Sometimes it is painful. But it is always real. In Naropa the quintessence of the timeless mystery schools of awakening and an original contemporary flavour are coming together.
Trimurti was founded to serve as a home for living, sharing and spreading this new creative vision.

Satsang with Naropa
Satsang is a gathering in service of truth. People come together in the field of consciousness and love of an awakened one, to recognize this awakened consciousness as themselves.
It is not a teaching, a monologue, or a conversation about non-duality. It is not something to be understood with the mind. Satsang is closer to music or rain; something you listen to, let through, let work on you. The words, music, and silence carry a transmission of the intimate reality that is available for everyone.
Naropa represents this ancient form in a contemporary way. He carries no doctrine, wears no spiritual uniform, and offers no position to aspire to. A mystic is not an authority but a friend. A dangerous friend, who acts as a mirror and shows you both your true face and the places where you are still lying to yourself. He loves you unconditionally and confronts you with your own spiritual sleep. He does not try to please you, nor does he seek your confirmation. He is himself, and invites you to be the same.
