About Trimurti
Origin of Trimurti
Trimurti was established in 2019 after a search for a retreat centre over many years. When giving satsangs and retreats we found out that the energy that built up over the days did not continue in the people, nor in the place itself. The wish to create a place where this field would grow, made us search for this venue.
The name Trimurti was with Naropa since he was 16 years. After seeing a batik of Trimurti which he was strongly attracted to. Trimurti represents the trinity of creativity, sustenance and destruction; we can call this life.
Spirit of Sacha
People come to Trimurti for awakening and to live, share and integrate this. Naropa represents a dogma free and creative way of living, which is being lived and represented in Trimurti. The path is not a step-by-step process or set stages. It is focused and straight to the core of life. It’s not about improving or changing one’s personality, but to discover the spirit underneath. Thus, one will come to authenticity and stop being a follower of the conditioned mind.
Ultimately realizing unconditional love, which is the spirit of Sacha. It’s not composed or pretended but it is the very essence of who we are. The Sacha tradition is a living lineage of awakened masters. Naropa was introduced into the Sacha lineage by ShantiMayi. The word Sacha means truth, the mission of the lineage has always been the same: to serve humanity by awakening the soul.
Nature of Expression
Trimurti is the perfect place to discover this. It’s surrounded by nature and hills, the air is crispy clean. The energy of love and meditation is increasing and being reinforced by the satsangs, retreats, meditations and the community over the years. Besides this, Trimurti is a place to explore and develop your creativity. Naropa speaks of art as inseparable from awakening. True creativity does not come from personality, effort, or the desire to produce something. It comes from the same place the mystics reside. Although Naropa is indefinable, he considers himself more an artist than a spiritual guide. At Trimurti, this principle is alive in everything. Art is not a program here, its flavour is simply present throughout the place. Artists are welcome to come and work from this source. An art studio is in development.
The Sangha
Behind Trimurti is a sangha, a community of several hundred people who dedicate themselves to awakening under Naropa’s guidance. The togetherness of the community is based on mutual support, friendships and exposure.
A path to freedom is a risk, an adventure. It goes against your composed mind and therefore liberates you from what you call yourself.
